A Noble Deed! | 26 February 2022
Yesterday evening around eight, soon after the Graduation Day Ceremony [for SFS] got over, the Security Guard stationed at the main entrance to Anderson Hall, came to our Dean’s Office and returned a smart phone that he had found at the Quadrangle.
In fifteen minutes, we received a call on that number, and the caller (a graduand) said that, he had misplaced the phone at the quadrangle, and asked if he could get it back.
We assured him that it was safe in the Dean’s Office, and asked him to come and get it back.
Then, we also invited the Security Guard (Mr. Sriram) to our Office, to hand over the phone to him.
The graduand felt so relieved to get his mobile phone back.
We wanted to click a picture of the gesture, to acknowledge his noble deed.
Later, we also came to know that the same security guard (Mr. Sriram) had even earlier, returned three such mobile phones to the Dean’s Office.
Sheer coincidence that, Dr. Abdul Kalam shared on the
values of true nobility, on this same month, 15 years ago, [on 23 February
2007] in his Convocation Address to MCC-ians.
Dr. Kalam’s Speech at MCC can be accessed in our past post HERE.
