One-Day National Conference

Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur

It was such a joyous experience to be part of the One-Day National Conference organised by the Department of English, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu.

The College is nestled amidst a serene and sylvan environment, significantly situated quite close to the renowned Jawadhu Hills - a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers!

Hearty congratulations to the organising team under Prof. Ume Habeeba, on organising such a highly successful National Conference on a very pertinent theme – Digital Humanities and Literary Studies: Intersections and Innovations.

I could witness the enormous hard work and planning that had gone into the success of the Conference.

The Head of the Department Prof. N. Arul Doss beautifully outlined the theme of the Conference.

I was so happy to see faculty members from Sree Abiraami College for Women, Gudiyattam, who had brought along 50 of their students to participate in the Conference.

Thankful to Dr. P. Kalaivel Mani, for his excellent hospitality.

Also, felt so happy to share the podium with one of our best students, Dr. Santhosh Kumar, who is now with Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru.

While I spoke in the forenoon session, Dr. Santosh held fort in the afternoon.

On the whole, a very rewarding day.
