Are you good @ Story telling...? Then read on...

Friends, Romans, Indians, Countrymen,

Lend me your ears!

The Chennai Story Telling Festival 2016 is starting this weekend. Inauguration is on Friday, 05 February 2016 at 5 p.m. and the fest goes on till 14 February 2016 (for those of you who don’t know, it ends on Valentine’s day ;-).

Seven story tellers will participate in daily evening sessions. The stories will be related to two themes –

The "Big Rains" and "Storytelling for Communication".

On 12 February, a workshop on 'how to tell stories' has also been organised. This workshop is an opportunity for college students interested in the art of story-telling. It will be held at Dr MGR-Janaki College (in R A Puram, Chennai). Certificates would be given to all the participants.

The festival, hosted by the International Institute of Storytelling in the city, will be attended by noted storytellers from India and abroad. The guest co-host of the festival this year is Ruth Trotter of California, United States.
